MicroFridge™ fully complies with your schools guidelines for refrigerators and microwave ovens, and meets the highest standards for safety and efficiency. It is also an Energy Star rated product.

How do I order a MicroFridge™ unit?
A: You can order and pay for your rental unit by Visa or MasterCard by logging in at the Select School to Place Order page of the Standards For Living website. Or, you may call our customer service at 1-800-525-7307. Or, you may mail in the Order Form that you received in the mail.
What if I want to rent or buy a MicroFridge™ unit through Standards for Living, but I do not know my roommate or my dorm assignment.
A: You should fill out the order form and submit it from our order page. This way you have a unit reserved for the initial delivery date. If you find out your roommate has ordered a MicroFridge™ unit, you can cancel the order and get a full refund as long as the MicroFridge™ has not been delivered.
What if my roommate and I both order a MicroFridge™ unit?
A: Our order system recognizes duplicate orders and fully refunds the person who sent in the latter payment.
Is the rental of a MicroFridge™ unit for one or two semesters?
A: The rental price is for both semesters.
Do both roommates send a check for half the amount or should one of us pay for the unit?
A: We ask that only one payment be sent for the entire rental amount. Then you and your roommate can split the cost between yourselves.
When will the MicroFridge™ unit be delivered to my school?
A: All orders received prior to August 1st will be delivered directly to the student rooms prior to the start of the academic year. See the Delivery & Pick-up Dates for the exact date for your school.
Is the MicroFridge™ delivered to my room?
A: Yes, we deliver the unit directly to your room.
What if my room gets changed?
A: You must notify us immediately if you move the MicroFridge™ so we can change our records. Failure to notify us will result in an additional charge. Call the Standards For Living customer service at 1-800-525-7307.
What if the unit gets damaged while in my room?
A: When you place your order for the rental of a MicroFridge™ unit, you may purchase Optional Damage Insurance.
What if leave school before the end of the school year?
A: We need to be notified at least 7 days in advance so that we can arrange for pick up. No refunds are available after October 1st.
When will the MicroFridge™ be picked up?
A: All units are picked up directly from the student room. See the Delivery & Pick-up Dates for the exact date for your school. It is also expected that the unit be completely empty and cleaned by the student prior to pick-up.
What is the size of a MicroFridge™ unit?
A: The MicroFridge™ is 18-5/8" W x 19-1/2" D x 43-1/2" H and weighs 88 lbs. The freezer is 0.7 cu. ft. The refrigerator is 2.1 cu. ft. and the microwave is 0.6 cu. ft.
What happens if the unit stops working?
A: Review the Troubleshooting checklist on the Standards For Living website. If we are unable to resolve the problem, we will replace your unit.
